DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UM DASHBOARD PARA A GESTÃO DA PROPRIEDADE INTELECTUAL DO NIT/UFMA

Abstract

The management of Intellectual Property at UFMA, from filing with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) to its granting, is currently carried out manually. This process requires a considerable amount of time, attention to detail, and increases the risk of errors. Through the dashboard, the NIT/UFMA can optimize the management of Intellectual Property and strengthen technology transfer, fostering innovation within the university. The goal of this work is to develop a dashboard to enhance Intellectual Property at the Technology Innovation Center (NIT) of the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), with an emphasis on promoting innovation. The creation of this tool aims to optimize the control and visualization of data related to Intellectual Property assets generated within the academic environment, such as patents, software registrations, trademarks, and industrial designs, contributing to the efficiency of NIT/UFMA’s activities. The methodology adopted involved bibliographic and documentary research, collecting data and information on the Intellectual Property portfolio of UFMA, as well as the current management and process control model used by NIT. The developed dashboard represents a practical and innovative solution that meets the contemporary demands of Intellectual Property management, reinforcing the importance of innovation as a driving force for academic, scientific, and technological development.
