Sob o ritmo do Boi nos quatro cantos de Timon: abordando a rítmica do Bumba Meu Boi Riso da Mocidade com alunos de ensino fundamental em anos finais

Abstract

This work presents research developed from my experience as an art teacher at E.M.E.F. Luís Miguel Budaruiche, in Timon (MA), involving Bumba Meu Boi as an object of study and a pedagogical musical practice. Motivated by concerns about how to improve artistic activities in the classroom, the research investigates Bumba Meu Boi in its historical, social, and musical dimensions, focusing on the rhythmic patterns of the "sotaque da Ilha" and the construction of percussion instruments using alternative materials. The methodological approach included interviews with group members, analysis of theoretical references, and a participatory perspective in the classroom, connecting traditional and academic knowledge. The proposal culminates in the creation of a didactic sequence, emphasizing the teaching of polyrhythms and the appreciation of popular culture as an element of identity through a process involving musical education. The study highlights the educational impact of this cultural manifestation, promoting the recognition of cultural diversity and the integration of oral knowledge into the school environment. In the end, the author analyzes the research results and the implementation of workshops, emphasizing the relevance of Bumba Meu Boi as a pedagogical tool and a means of strengthening identity.
