Abstract: Forme symbolique ou manifestation populaire d'une grande importance pour la culture de l'État du Maranhão, Bumba meu boi présente comme facteur pertinent pour sa réalisation les remerciements et les louanges à São João, Santo Antônio, São Pedro et São Marçal. C'est ce qui différencie le bétail du Maranhão des autres manifestations du même type existant au Brésil. De ce fait, il peut être considéré comme un objet de réflexion pour analyser comment les croyances et pratiques quotidiennes, soulignées par le rapport sacré/profane, caractérisent ou constituent la réalité sociale des « faiseurs de boeufs ». Dans cette perspective, ce travail vise à démontrer comment la dévotion se configure dans l'univers symbolique des joueurs de Bumba meu boi, en fonction du contexte social du groupe Pindoba boi. Le point de départ est donc, dans un premier temps, une tentative d'expliquer comment cette question a été habituellement traitée dans la littérature déjà développée sur le boeuf afin de contextualiser et de mettre en évidence les éléments considérés comme importants par les auteurs. Par la suite, une présentation générique est faite de l'histoire de l'émergence et de la « marche » du boeuf au Brésil, dans le Maranhão et, plus précisément, dans la communauté de Pindoba, dans la municipalité de Paço do Lumiar. Dans ce contexte, la dévotion et le plaisir sont considérés dans Bumba meu boi, en décrivant les éléments sacrés et profanes à partir de la description des étapes qui composent son calendrier rituel. Ainsi, les individus qui font le boeuf peuvent être considérés à la fois comme des dévots ou des farceurs qui vénèrent les saints catholiques, ainsi que comme ceux qui s'amusent et se présentent par amour de la culture au milieu d'un marché touristique.

Abstract: European colonization, which began in the 15th century, left deep structural and social marks&#xD;
on humanity, and for decolonial thinkers, racism is one of its most enduring legacies.&#xD;
Coloniality, as an extension of colonialism, remains deeply rooted in various spheres, including&#xD;
education, which is still largely dominated by Eurocentric epistemologies. This dissertation&#xD;
project proposes to analyze the Interdisciplinary Degree in African and Afro-Brazilian Studies&#xD;
(LIESAFRO) at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), Bacanga campus, as a decolonial&#xD;
initiative in the educational field. Created in 2015, the program is grounded in dialogues with&#xD;
thinkers from the Global South, especially with the plurality of the African Continent, offering&#xD;
an emancipatory and diverse curricular approach. Its goal is to train teachers for the final years&#xD;
of elementary and secondary education in the field of Humanities, with a specialization in&#xD;
History, promoting antiracist educational practices aligned with the National Curriculum&#xD;
Guidelines for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations. The study seeks to understand how&#xD;
the program responds to the historical and social demands of the Brazilian Black Movement,&#xD;
particularly regarding the implementation of Laws 10.639/2003 and 11.645/2008, which make&#xD;
the teaching of Afro-Brazilian, African, and Indigenous history and culture mandatory in basic&#xD;
education. From a decolonial perspective, the research investigates how LIESAFRO&#xD;
contributes to building an antiracist education and to valuing peripheral knowledge, breaking&#xD;
away from the hegemonic paradigm of Eurocentric knowledge.

Abstract: Economic expansion, a mechanism historically used by capitalism to escape crises, can reach&#xD;
quilombola communities in Alcântara, located in Maranhão. The Brazilian State plans to&#xD;
transform the Alcântara Launch Center (CLA) into the Alcântara Space Center (CEA), to install&#xD;
new launch bases. To do this, it requires an area occupied by quilombolas, based on the&#xD;
cooperation agreement signed with Ukraine that was in force between 2003 and 2015, and a&#xD;
recent agreement with the USA to rent the CLA. The thesis presents results from secondary&#xD;
data and interviews carried out with councilors and businesspeople from Alcântara, with&#xD;
representatives of social movements in favor of quilombolas, about the municipality's territorial&#xD;
dispute, and with residents of the quilombola community Vista Alegre, discussing their selfsufficiency/dependence in relation to the sea and land, as well as their situation of insecurity&#xD;
regarding the permanence of the community.

Abstract: This research has as a background the religion of the drum of Mina, in Terreiro Fé&#xD;
em Deus in São Luís do Maranhão, taking into account its symbolic influence in the&#xD;
context of the Feast of Lady Sant'Ana and Divine Holy Spirit. From a theoretical&#xD;
framework of anthropological and sociological studies of religion and culture, in this&#xD;
research, I try to elaborate an ethnography that makes it possible to understand how&#xD;
the "world view" of the subjects responsible for the organization and realization of the&#xD;
party is processed, focusing on the performance of Dina, Rôxa and the group of&#xD;
Nine, analyzing the ritual objects of the party, the practices of these subjects and&#xD;
their symbolic performances. Thus, the research seeks to point out how this festival&#xD;
is carried out, which has a specific organization and, in fact, is guided by the terreiro's&#xD;
belief system, with reference to the spiritual entities that are in evidence in the theme&#xD;
of the festival, or as they say in the terreiro: “who is reigning”. With this analysis, I&#xD;
intend to demonstrate that people act in relation to things, according to the meaning&#xD;
that these things have for them, as well as, they elaborate meanings that give&#xD;
meaning to their actions, social interactions and the force that these meanings exert,&#xD;
in the form of symbols, provide the repertoire by which we create culture, or the&#xD;
modes of thought, feeling and action that characterize our society and everything that&#xD;
happens around us.; Cette recherche a pour toile de fond la religion du tambour de Mina, à Terreiro Fé em&#xD;
Deus à São Luis do Maranhão, en tenant compte de son influence symbolique dans&#xD;
le contexte de la F Fête de Madame Sant'Ana et du Divin Saint-Esprit. À partir d'un&#xD;
cadre théorique d'études anthropologiques et sociologiques de la religion et de la&#xD;
culture, dans cette recherche, j'essaie d'élaborer une ethnographie qui permette de&#xD;
comprendre comment la "vision du monde" des sujets responsables de l'organisation&#xD;
et de la réalisation du parti est traitée, centré sur la performance de Dina, Rôxa et du&#xD;
groupe des Neuf, analysant les objets rituels de la fête, les pratiques de ces sujets et&#xD;
leurs performances symboliques. Ainsi, la recherche vise à indiquer comment se&#xD;
déroule ce festival, qui a une organisation spécifique et, en fait, est guidé par le&#xD;
système de croyances du terreiro en référence aux entités spirituelles qui sont mises&#xD;
en évidence dans le thème du festival, ou comme on dit dans le terreiro: « qui règne&#xD;
». Avec cette analyse, j'entends démontrer que les gens agissent par rapport aux&#xD;
choses, selon le sens que ces choses ont pour eux, ainsi qu'ils élaborent des&#xD;
significations qui donnent un sens à leurs actions, à leurs interactions sociales et à la&#xD;
force que ces significations exercent. sous forme de symboles, fournissent le&#xD;
répertoire par lequel nous créons la culture, ou les modes de pensée, de sentiment&#xD;
et d'action qui caractérisent notre société et tout ce qui se passe autour de nous.
